Dr. Hickey, is the Director of The Office of Special Services for Students with Disabilities and the Queens College ADA Coordinator. She has a Masters in Special Education and a second Masters in Human Services Administration. Her PhD is in Special Education. She has been in the field of Special Education for 33 years. Dr. Hickey has been a state monitor for Special Education compliance, a Director for Special Education for public schools and a Special Education Teacher. As Director, she often meets with the students to resolve issues. Dr. Hickey provides workshops to all Queens College departments on disability sensitivity, issues, and regulations. Gail, is the Counselor for The Office of Special Services for Students with Disabilities. She earned her M.A. in Counseling Education and has been with Queens College for 22 years. As a Computer Technician Farukh is the Assistive Technology Coordinator. He offers training to those disable students that are registered at the OSS and require technology training on computers. As the A.T. Lab Coordinator, Farukh monitors the Laptop and Equipment Lending Programs. You can use the A.T. Lab during the following days and hours: Monday to Thursday from 8a.m. to 5 pm. Friday 8am to 4:00pm. Saturday, 9am to 2 pm. If you require training on Assistive Technology equipment or software, you can contact Farukh at (718) 997-5870. Andy is responsible for the parking and purchasing. He has two Bachelor degrees; one in Media Studies and the second in Psychology. Andy has been at Office Special Services for 12 years. He is the person you need to speak regarding parking if you have a mobility disability and require parking. Due to the limited amount of parking spaces on campus, Dr. Hickey and Andy will evaluate your official documentation and make the decision on the parking. Felina has been hired as the new TRIO Disability student Support Services(DSSS)Academic Coordinator for Queens College. She has a history of working in the Office of Special Services helping students with disabilities, primarily with cognitive disabilities. Felina will provide study skills workshops for our students. Natasha is in charge of the TRIO Program's overall operations. She works directly with Dr. Hickey, Director of OSS, and Mrs. Felina Khan, Coordinator of the Program, to ensure that the program's activities and objectives are met.
