 UP Candidate Profile: Ashley Prasad

candidate position Representing Lower Sophomore & Freshman Classes

Hey, my name is Ashley Prasad, and I will be running for freshman representative for the student senate. As a proud team member of United People (UP), it is my pleasure to share my ideas with my other outstanding future leaders that I am confident can create changes for Queens College in nothing but a positive way. After graduating high school in 2012, I’m currently a freshman majoring in Biology. As of my freshman year, I have joined the QC-EMS club, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Future Healers of America. I have also participated in the Freshman Council where I have gotten to meet other freshmen and learn about the amazing opportunities Queens College has to offer such as internships, research, professional advising, and many more. During my time outside my school, I volunteer at my local hospital and Little Neck Nursing Home, intern at my local Doctor’s clinic, work with nursery students as a Camp Counselor at the Samuel Field Y, and participate in various community service events. My goal is to work towards better freshmen orientations as well as increase the amount of soap in the Chemistry labs.

Vote UP all the way!
